Family History

Jacques René de Ville [1868 - 1922] married Marie Josephine [1872 - 1921].
They had 1 son and 2 daughters (both daughters died as a result of Influenza).

Jacques René later became Count Jacques René [a title he received for his continual commitment to France]

Count Jacques René had brother Henri Philippe de Ville.

The Count’s son - René Henri de Ville took over his father's title and continued to manage and grow their wealth. He shrewdly moved his family offshore before WW1. He later returned (during which time he purchased the present family property) only to leave again just before WW2 officially broke out. He, and his family (his wife and 3 children), fled to South Africa where they lived until the war ended.

Count René Henri de Ville’s oldest son - Philippe Michel de Ville was an academic and history fanatic. He specialized in history from the Middle Ages. His son, (the future Count) Jean Luc, inherited his love of academics. In his last 10 years he began compiling the finest Middle Ages history book of all time. He died before he could complete the project.

Count René Henri de Ville had a sister – Josephine Julie de Ville - and a brother - Dominique René de Ville.

Count Jean Luc de Ville (René Henri’s son and the present Count de Ville) married Jacqueline Josephine de Ville who died during childbirth. They have1 daughter - Countess Josephine Marie de Ville.
